Recently had my fourth IV drip with Effect Doctors. Each time has been incredibly helpful and if I could, I would simply do these all the time. The drips are absolutely wonderful, and have taken me from feeling exhausted and depleted, to rejuvenated, energised and raring to go. On this occasion we had an out of clinic experience where the doctors came to our apartment. It was a super professional set-up, and our group were well looked after by experienced nurses and doctors who made the whole experience relaxing, safe and enjoyable. Dr Will Buxton couldn’t have been more helpful in coordinating everything, and I’m already looking forward to my next treatment with Effect Doctors!

Super lovely staff, and thank goodness the crew booked these for my hen party For the morning after, otherwise I'm not sure how we would have continued into the next morning !! Big thank you to both Allie and Dr Klapan!

I called this Tuesday, after the Bank Holiday, full of questions on how to navigate the process and get some iron for a severe deficiency. They were excellent.

Allie patiently explained the process and managed to fit me in just a few hours later.

Dr Klapan was welcoming, thorough in her health checks, and reassuring. It was a very calming space for an infusion, and I felt very comfortable there. Dr Klapan administered the infusion and was sure to check on patients regularly throughout. She created a very calming environment.

The clinic itself is also very comfortable. I'd recommend, whilst we all try to avoid going to clinics... I'll definitely be returning!

I had an injection at the clinic. It was so easy to book, the website is very easy to navigate and prices are really good, Better than other clinics. The health questionnaire was very quick. The staff are lovely and very friendly, the clinic is a nice place to relax whilst getting your treatment. The whole process from start to finish was really easy and stress free, very impressed. Will definitely be back.

I probably have been struggling with my iron deficiency for few years, and it only became a big issue in the last 6 months. I went through very distressing hair loss, when in a short space of time I've lost about 50% volume of my hair. I tried to get some help from GP and in the last 10 weeks of their care my levels have gone so low that I wasn't able to function properly. All I heard was I couldn't feel the way I felt only from low iron, it was suggested maybe I was stressed, or my life style was making me so fatigued, my heamoglobin was still holding therefore I was fine... When I contacted effect doctors the response was almost immediate along with forms and lots of information. When I came for my consultation I felt someone acknowledged me for the first time. I was very excited for what was to come, the process was smooth, all the information and very good letter for my GP - hopefully it will push them to actually help me to find out the reason behind my low ferritin. I had few side effects, but I was informed about the possibility and I knew what to expect. The only thing I regret is waiting for my GP to do more for me and not getting the iron infusion sooner. Thank you for giving me my light back.

Why should I lose weight?

Are there side effects to Weight Loss medications?

While these medications are generally very well tolerated and most people experience little to no disruption, some individuals may notice mild side effects, including:

  • Gastrointestinal discomfort such as nausea, loose stools, or constipation
  • Headaches
  • Dry mouth or increased thirst
  • Temporary tiredness or mild mood changes

Can anyone have Weight Loss Medications?

To qualify for these medications, you have to be between 18 and 75 years old, have a BMI ≥ 30 kg/m² or ≥ 27 kg/m² with a weight-related health condition.

And you must not experience any of the following health conditions:

  • Anyone who has a serious disease of the liver, gallbladder or pancreas
  • Anyone with a history or direct family history of MEN2 or thyroid cancer.
  • Type 1 diabetics or patients taking diabetic medication
  • Significant kidney disease
  • Anyone with heart failure or abnormal heart rhythm
  • Any history of psychosis or severe depressions
  • Pregnant, breastfeeding or intending to fall pregnant
    • We strongly recommend birth control while taking these medications
